Temptation
There are a few people on me who don’t know me in person. For those, a small recap:
I love Potatos and bread.
My employer has branched out into the fine world of gourmet food, and as such, brought in large amounts of “artisan” bread. Sourdoughs, Flavors (like cinamon raisin), baggugets, and I don’t even know what else. I’m staying strong, eating my chicken and brocolli and doing what needs to be done!
On the positive front:
- Had an awesome workout (lifting) last night [I lift 4 nights a week, and do cardio every morning]
- I was 170 even today, with approx 17% bf – my worries from last night are fading away
I was traveling when you posted about your gym troubles, so I didn’t get a chance to respond. Have you found a new gym yet?
I’m a member at LA Fitness, which is reasonably priced and has nice facilities. There’s one in Piscataway (http://lafitness.com/app/club/club?clubId=172&flow=0); you might want to check it out. I don’t know if it’s too far from you, but it’s only $35 a month and they’re open until 8 pm on Saturdays. Irritating, actually, since I’m paying $50 a month.
Some gyms are definitely way over-priced. There’s a NYSC within walking distance of my apartment, but it’s $90 a month and the facilities are sub-par. Anyway, good luck.
Let’s stay focused. When can we lick your juices off your abs?
Oh man! My pops has this awsome recipe where he takes a fluffy artisan bread, and halves it long ways. Sauteés butter with chopped baby clams and garlic, and then pours the mixture over the open face of the bread. Covers some of it with sliced mozzerella, and then broils it so that the bread edges toast a bit and the cheese melts.
haha
I havent checked up on you in a while, but it seems your doing great, keep it up!
So how do you feel this is going? Are you making progress? I can’t really tell.
Taylor – I ask myself that everyday!
I think so:
My weight keeps going down
my body fat is going down (still getting re-aquainted with my calipers)
my waist is going down (most “real” measurement to me)
I’m making far less mistakes with my meals
overall, I’d say I’m making progress. If it’s enough to make my goal by my dealine? We’ll have to wait and see!
