I’m BACK!

I’ll have a long post about my trip shortly chronicling my diet and overall experience. Here’s the short version: I ate well most of the time, a few bad things. Not much cardio, but LOTS of hard work. I had a really interesting time.

My cardio today was awesome. I decided to up the intensity in general, I’m gonna keep my heart rate above 145, but below 160. I’m also going to do an hour or more each day (except for one day on the weekend.)

Nice. I like the new cardio routine.

Will you post a new picture soon? Lets see what house-building has done for your physique. (Though, I have the horrifying image of you as one of the guys on “This Old House”; ie, flannel shirt and thick moustache.)

Hi there. I was wondering, what do you use to monitor your heart rate? Counting pulses with my fingers on my jugular is a bit tricky while I’m exercising, and most of the equipment I’ve seen looks crappy and expensive.

welcome back rock… good to see you jump back into the cardio…always the easiest to stop and toughest to get going again

What do you wear when you do the cardio?

    I wear workout pants and a t-shirt

For heart rate monitering, I use a polar chest strap. I lost my A3 watch, but all the cardio equipment pick up the signal

When you workout you might want to consider putting a sweater on as well. This will cause you to burn more calories in the same time.
