What can I do, today, to achive my goals?
I’m coming back around. I think the dark time is almost passed :)
I was able to ask myself this morning – “What can I do today”. It worked. I got to the gym, got to Kings to buy some chicken and fruit, and I’m pumped.
I think my goal for this site was a bit misguided. “A six-pack” is concrete, but also not “measureable”. I’m all about measureable, trackable goals that can be broken down into descrete steps.
Tomorrow is “Rails Day”, and my project will have something to do with this site, fitness, goal-setting and all kinds of good stuff. Look for it :)
I’ll be live-blogging the event at my site:
http://metaatem.net/
And if anyone is interested in origami, I just launched a new site: “Fold A Star”
I don’t think the goal is misguided at all. If someone has a subjective goal to ‘be rich’, that is still an achievable goal, which truly is not quantifiable by itself. In the case of our wealth-building friend, he simply has to figure out the quantity of money that will have had his goal met, if he wishes to define a success/failure goal.
For you, if you want to define a quantifiable goal that when reached will also mean success with the somewhat subjective goal of ‘sixpack’, you should set a bodyfat percentage goal.
As the primary recipient of monies due if you’re not able to reach your goal, I feel you are driven enough to reset your goal to be body-fat oriented in an ethical manner.
All in favor?
Aye.
There we have it.
Also… put your fucking picture up! Sometime I feel like I put more effort into this project than you :)

The body fat percentage idea is an interesting one, but disagree that he should change his goals now. tenpercentbodyfatlevelbythesummer.com just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
Maybe the goals were misguided at the start of the plan, but you cannot afford to think like this now. It is only natural for a bit of cognitive dissonance to occur at this stage but you must not take you eyes of the finish line!!!
