Mayday!!

I started http://trackstat.us on may 1 ‘04. Ever since then, I’ve used this day to evaluate my progress. This year it’s pretty bleak. I have been working out sporadically since the first of the year (remember my old post where everything was rosy for the year ahead?). My diet has been spotty as well.

I truly have no excuse. I’m going to try to not feel guilty about it right now, but that hasn’t been working out so well.

Nothing to see here.

1/12 - Nothing much going on

The eating is not going well, but today is better then yesterday!

Exercise:

  • 1 mile
  • 100 pushups

1/10 Great workout

Like the title says – awesome workout (without treadmill too!), but my diet totally stunk today.
I went down to class at my sister’s school—I’m gonna sleep well tonight.

Exercise:

  • 100 pushups
  • 150 crunches
  • 3 sparring rounds
  • 6 form reps

Food:

  • Domino’s pizza
  • Burger
  • Trix cereal
  • Coke

1/9 morning workout

Workout:

  • 1.75 miles
  • 20 pushups
  • 100 crunches

1/8 So much for habbit

Well, so much for my habit idea! I didn’t workout today. I will be back tomorrow.

1/7 a habit?

I really wanted to just go to sleep while reading (actually I did fall asleep!). Then I took out the dog and thought, “Why not!”. I went downstairs and did a mile, and some pushups / crunches.

This might be becoming a habit. I want points for each day I work out – the number of which will be based on how much I do. I also want a multiplier for each consecutive day I work out. Make it a game!

Exercise:

  • 1 mile
  • 55 pushups
  • 150 crunches

Food:

  • Pancakes
  • Granola
  • Raisin bran (with silk)
  • Popcorn
  • Pop tarts
  • Fruit bar
  • Chocolate covered plums
  • Saltines
    (I think that’s all!)

1/6 Pick up sticks

Got a late start on working out today, but it’s all good.
I finally slept through the night, in my bed since moving to the new place. I ended up sleeping pretty late (10am). We got some stuff done today. Got a new couch (my mom’s old one). Walked around downtown Metuchen (awesome!) had some pizza and ice cream. I just finished up working out, and I’m pretty happy with the exercise, pretty “meh” about the food.

Exercise:

  • 2 miles
  • 50 pushups
  • 100 crunches

Food:

  • Pizza (twice, sort of)
  • Ice Cream
  • Breadsticks

1/5 - Shock and Awe

I’m shocked at how badly it’s been going.

My cough isn’t “productive” yet, but I think it will be soon.

Let’s look at my food over the past (awful) 24 hours:

  • Last night:
    • Domino’s pizza
    • Cherry coke
  • Morning:
    • trail mix (Planter’s)
  • Afternoon:
    • Domino’s chicken kickers
  • Night:
    • Cream soda
    • Slice of local pizza
    • Half a meatball sub

Wow. Looking back – it’s not great, but it’s FAR better then I thought at first.

Now just to get my butt downstairs!

1/4 update

Getting out of bed was tough this morning, I think my body needs more rest!
I didn’t hit the treadmill in the morning, but I will after work. I did however get some pushups and crunches in before work.
I am still not eating enough.

I also can’t wait to get back to BJJ and TKD (saturday for bjj I hope).

Update I am not getting on the treadmill tonight. Between my knee and my cough, I’m choosing not to.
I’m also making a bad food choice tonight.
